It all started with a love of horses! Anything equine, and I do mean ANYTHING. I started this business not as a business but a way to say Happy Birthday, Congratulations, Happy Baby etc...for my horse friends. Always pulling my proverbial tail out trying to find a gift, and let me tell you before the internet...this was quite a feat finding horse stores that carried something fun, and to the point, horsey. Being rather crafty, I started making my own gifts, candles, cards, sculptures etc...the first Hollyhorse was made for a very dear friend. She opened it at her birthday party which had the whole horsie set invited and everyone just fell over at her horse...ok maybe it was the 4lbs of butter cream frosting on her birthday cake but still. Everyone really loved that horse. I started getting phone calls, I made a few horses...I made a few more....started going to the "A" horse shows...made a LOT of horses.
One day a woman called me and said "you're that girl, the one that makes those horses, you're Holly right? you make those Hollyhorses....thus...the name became Hollyhorse!. To date, over 400 horses have found homes throughout the world, literally!

A bit about me & my ponyI was born with that gene, You've seen other children affected I'm sure, they gallop around, pretending to be horses!
I have loved horses since the day my father showed me a pony and after that first ride? I never wanted to do anything else.
In the years I've been a horseman, I have ridden at some wonderful barns, met wonderful people, went to a lot of horse shows.
Spent thousands of hours with my horse friends through colics, cuts, injuries, births, and also those tearful goodbyes as we watched our horses cross the rainbow bridge.
From brown ribbons to blue ribbons to no ribbons, we stood together as long as our horses were involved.
I recently said goodbye to my own thoroughbred pictured above, who for 27 years was my rock. I take this one moment to thank his vet and his assistant for their sincere kindness during his last moments and to my friends and my family for understanding my loss.
Our horses trust us with their care, and they really do tell you when it's time to say goodbye.
Not a day goes by that I don't think of his silliness, such a Thoroughbred.
I share this only to let you know I understand you as a horseman. Sharing your deep respect and love for these wonderful creatures.
For nothing truly touches your heart more then the gentle nicker of a dear friend in greeting..
I will look for you at the Bridge my friend. I know you will look for me
